The 2009 Golden Globe Awards


Another week, another award show. This week’s show held a little more clout that some of the other though. The Golden Globe Awards are considered one of the biggest award shows around. This years show held to that montra. With presenters such as Pierce Brosnan, Cameron Diaz, Zac Efron, Johnny Depp and Don Cheadle this show was right up there with the others.
The big winner for movies was ”Slumdog Millionaire”. It took home the awards for: Best Picture; Drama, Best Director (Danny Boyle), Best Screenplay and Best Original Score. Other winners included: Best Supporting Actor; Heath Ledger (Dark Knight) and Best Actor in a Drama; Mickey Rourke (The Wrestler).
On the Television side ”30 Rock…” continued it’s run at the top bagging 3 honors and the HBO Miniseries “John Adams” brought home 4 awards.
All the celebrities were out rocking their low cut dresses and beautiful silver jewelry। Overall it was considered a very successful award show and we can’t wait for the next one!
